Welcome to our Chalet, these additional rules are set by the Locust Lake Village (LLV) community and must be obeyed or additional fines/fee may apply. Guests must have passes to attend any community events or access the beach, tennis courts, go fishing, etc. SPEED LIMIT - This is a residential community comprised of full-time residents with family and children. Maximum speed limit on any road is 25 mph. Please drive slowly and carefully. PARKING - In no event shall parking for Mountain View Chalet (MVC) and day guests include spaces in any public street, right-of-way, or any lawns or vegetated areas. All Vehicles will need to be registered in advance and must display a current LLV parking permit. NOISE - The village is patrolled by 24/7 security and is known to issue fines for noise after 9 PM. (quiet time is from 11pm - 6am) As a reminder , for our guests safety and enforcing house rules, the front exterior of the MVC is monitored by surveillance cameras 24/7. TRASH - As trash cans get frequented raided by animals - we request guests to drop trash at the LLV compactor located at 202 Martha's Lane when they leave . The dumpsters are open from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM on all days except Tuesday and Thursdays. On Sunday Dumpsters are open till 5 PM. SMOKING - Is allowed only by the fire pit or 50 feet from the MVC. No smoking is allowed on beaches. PETS - All pets must be registered. There is a charge of $150 per pet per trip. Please pick up after your pet (bags provided). Pets are never allowed on the furniture or in the beds. Limit of 2 pets per stay. FIREWORKS - Are never permitted. ADDITIONAL COSTS: LLV community charges $9/day/adult after 6 adults. This pays for amenity passes. Adults are anyone over the age of 12. If you don't wish to use the community amenities, you do not need to register the adult. All vehicles must be registered and display a tag. Vehicle registration is $5. The Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises or it's facilities. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. Evidence of partying or complaints about partying is immediate grounds for removal from property and $1000 fine. Must be over age 25 to register and have at least 3 positive reviews.
We want to remind you that the speed limit within our community is 25 mph. This is to ensure the safety of all residents and guests within the area. Please drive responsibly and obey all traffic signs and signals. Any tickets issued by the community will be the guests responsibility. Please print the parking pass before arrival and display on your dash at all times. This pass will also be used to take trash to the compactor. Guests have access to 10 wristbands that allow them to use the amenities in the community which include the ski hill, sled hill, beaches, tennis courts, pickleball court, basketball court and so much more. Please return the wristbands to avoid a $25 replacement fee. Minimum age to rent is age 25. Minimum days to rent the chalet is 2 days.
Co-host is available to respond via text, call or in-person as needed. Otherwise access is granted by a key code and guests privacy is respected.

Locust Lake Village is a private residential community situated in the heart of the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. The village is located in Monroe County and is just a short drive away from popular destinations such as Lake Harmony, Jim Thorpe, and Camelback Mountain Resort. The area is known for its natural beauty, offering visitors and residents year-round recreational activities such as hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, boating, and swimming. The community also features amenities such as tennis courts, a beach, a playground, and a chalet meeting space, making it a great place to vacation or live. To get to Locust Lake Village, you can take various routes depending on your starting location. If you're coming from New York City, you can take I-80 W to PA-940 W in Kidder Township, then take PA-940 W to Locust Lake Village. If you're coming from Philadelphia, you can take the PA Turnpike Northeast Extension to Exit 95, then take PA-940 W to Locust Lake Village. Alternatively, you can also fly into Lehigh Valley International Airport, which is approximately an hour and a half drive away from Locust Lake Village. Rental cars and shuttle services are available at the airport to take you to your destination. We have plenty of parking in our long driveway up to the Chalet. Please use caution in snowy weather as community roads can get slick and ice in the drive way accumulates quickly. This parking pass will be used to enter the trash compactor please print this before you come to the chalet.
